We've Come a Long Way
From 2 books to over 20 - the Barry Beer journey has been a long one, but a damn fun one!
It all began back in 1994 with Barry masquerading as Mr. Beer. There he slumbered for the better part of a decade & a half. Then in 2015 I went for a sabattical 1 year world trip. Upon my return, I had been in artistic limbo for about 6 or 7 years… & decided it was high time I dove back in, but wanted a new idea… a fresh direction. Looking through some older images for inspiration… I stumbled on that old Mr. Beer image.
So I came up with a story for him & a few extra characters… ensured the books had a story (which always ended on a bad note because of alcohol), some jokes, & something extra for the reader. Barry has the rules to all the drinking games he plays in-story… Wendy had a legit beginners guide to wine appreciation.
So welcome to Barry Beer’s universe… I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.
